Is there a limit to the number of Interlibrary Loan (ILL)/Document Delivery requests I can place?
Answer
Technically no, there is no limit to the number of requests you can place; however, this is subject to the Interlibrary Loan (ILL)/Document Delivery department's discretion.
For example, requests that are not properly submitted, missing significant citation information, or have previously been ordered may not be fulfilled. Journal articles that MUSC Library does not own can only be requested 5 times per year if published within the last 5 years. If more than 5 articles from a journal are requested, ILL must pay copyright fees ranging from $20 to over $100 per article. This means that you will be contacted if you request more than 5 articles that we are unable to get for free.
Please contact the Interlibrary Loan (ILL)/Document Delivery department if you have any questions ill@musc.edu or 843-792-9645
