How do I request an article from PubMed that is not available in the MUSC Library Collection?
Answer
Articles not available in the MUSC Library Collection can be requested via ILLiad (our Interlibrary Loan system). The easiest way to request articles while searching in Pubmed is to start your search from the MUSC Library site. You can use the search bar at the top of the page (be sure to choose PubMed) or choose PubMed from the "Resources" drop-down list.
PubMed from the Library site uses a special URL that includes a "FindIT@MUSC Library tool that appears with each citation. Clicking on this link will automatically search the MUSC Catalog and gives you a link to request the article if we don't own it.
You can also go directly to ILLiad to place a request manually.
