Can I download the PDF of an ebook or ebook chapter?

Each ebook publisher has different rules regarding printing and downloading PDFs of ebooks and ebook chapters. Even within the same publisher's platform, sometimes you can download the PDF of one ebook chapter or not another.
You can access each individual book online to see what options are available. Oftentimes you must register for a free account on the publisher's platform in order to download a PDF.
